Bert Hill is the co-founder of BAHAMA Consulting, a 15 year old HIT consulting firm serving hospitals nation-wide.

Bert has work in the Information Technology space for over 30 years. He has worked in various capacities from Partner, Project Manager, Business Development, Recruiter, to Programmer Analyst. He has worked in various industry verticals with the last 10 plus being in Healthcare. Bert Hill and BAHAMA Consulting are committed to increasing the quality of care and reducing the cost of Healthcare. Mr. Hill has a degree from DeVry Lombard.

President Elect - Vitaly Herasevich

Vitaly Herasevich, MD, PhD, MSc, CPHIMS is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Division of Critical Care, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He has been involved in medical informatics for over 20 years, with a specific concentration on applied clinical informatics in critical care and the science of health care delivery.

He was born in Belarus, where he earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, and joined the Mayo Clinic in 2006. Later he finished MSc in clinical research at Mayo Clinic.

He codirects the Clinical Informatics in Intensive Care program as part of a research group that works to decrease complications and improve outcomes for critically ill patients through systematic research and quality improvement. He is interested in studying and developing clinical syndromic surveillance alerting systems (“sniffers”), clinical data visualization (novel patient-centered EMR), and health care predictive and prescriptive ambient intelligence. He is co-inventor of number of technologies including AWARE platform, resulting in technologies commercialization. He has coauthored 100 peer-reviewed articles and book Health Information Evaluation. As part of an education effort, Dr. Herasevich developed curriculums in clinical informatics to medical students, residents, fellows at the Mayo Medical School and Mayo Graduate School. He is Fellow of Society of Critical Care Medicine and active within informatics and professional societies serving on several committees.

Secretary - Armand MorrisonArmand

Armand has been involved in healthcare IT for over 25 years working with c-suite executives across the continuum of care to help leverage services and technologies toward improving patient care and reducing cost. Some projects and engagements that he has  been involved with included working with a large academic health system to select, implement, and bring live a new enterprise EHR system; working with a large for-profit health system outsource the management of their health IT interface systems; working with a multi-state academic health system build a out a data and analytics platform on a leading cloud hyperscaler; working with a regional medical center design and implement an enterprise digital front door platform to drive new patient acquisition and engagement.

Armand was previously on the board of directors of another chapter of HIMSS serving as the Secretary of the board for 4 years as well as serving as Membership Committee Chair and Chair of the IT Leadership Committee. I also serves as the healthcare special interest group advisor and member of the board of directors for InfoTech, a community based organization supporting the needs of IT professionals.

Treasurer - Robert PhillipsRob

With nearly a decade in the Healthcare Technology and Field-Service Industry, Rob learned what is necessary to successfully guide partners throughout the process of on-site deployments and integrations. Mr. Phillips joined Snap Install as a Project Manager on the Healthcare Operations Team. Since then, Rob supported many high-profile hospital/clinics technology integration projects and has helped strengthen client relationships. From there, Mr. Phillips joined Snap Install’s sales team and hit the ground running. Today, Rob continues to guide partners throughout the client journey and is committed to continuing industry education and progression.

Communications Chair - Saikat Basu Majumdersaikat

Saikat (Sai) is a intuitive and perceptive leader with a demonstrated history of 15 years of subject matter expertise in delivering integrated business solutions and building intuitive products with focus on delivering delightful consumer experience. Experience in leading cross-functional teams shipping consumer products across APAC, EMEA and North America regions. Excellent communicator and influencer, with aptitude for identifying critical business drivers and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products, tools and services.

His engagement delivery experience spans across large and medium scale initiatives for multi-national organizations from Healthcare, Banking and Financial services, Government and Public Sector, Education, Entertainment Media, Manufacturing and IT/ITeS domain.

At Mayo Clinic, Sai is focusing on building commerce and consumer payments products, establishing a payments center of excellence to drive adoption of secure and frictionless digital payments platform, drive organization's PCI DSS compliance program, and maturing institutional technology assurance and risk management process.

Programs Chair - Laura Laberda

 

Membership Chair - Tamara Winden

Tamara WindenDr. Tamara Winden, PhD is Founder and Principal Consultant at Winden Consulting. She received her PhD from the University of Minnesota in Health Informatics with a minor in Cognitive Science and her MBA from the University of St. Thomas.  Her dissertation research focused on natural language processing and developing a model representation of social determinants of health, specifically residence, living situation and living conditions.

Dr. Winden is an executive leader and biomedical informatics scientist with an extensive background in clinical, translational, basic science research, and healthcare IT including 14+ years of experience in clinical research informatics, data management, governance, compliance, analytics, informatics operations, and user-centered design methods. She is expert at strategic planning and execution, knowledgeable in machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), especially interested in trustworthy, responsible AI, and passionate about optimizing efficiencies through data, technology and optimal user experience. 

Personal interests include musical theater, playing violin, supporting student STEM activities, and serving on non-profit boards supporting the local community.

Programs Elect - Maureen Pruntymaureen

Maureen Prunty is the Operations Administrator for the Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In this role, Maureen provides administrative support to 130 physicians and 700 allied health staff across all three shields – practice, research, and education. In addition, Maureen serves as the Enterprise Administrator for the Office of Clinical Ethics, the Chair of Emerging Leaders, and is a member of the Mayo Clinic Values Council. She joined the organization in 2019 as an Administrative Fellow, and subsequently assumed the role of Operations Manager overseeing the Department of Neurology’s Diagnostic Practice.

Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Maureen worked in Strategy at Penn State Health, in Mission Delivery at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and served as an AmeriCorps member in St. Louis, Missouri. Maureen holds a Master of Health Administration from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Kentucky.

Clinical Informatics Chair - Mischa AdamsMA

Mischa Adams has been a nurse for over 20 years and holds a Masters in Nursing Informatics and Board Certified as a Informatics Nurse Specialist. She is currently a Clinical Outcomes Improvement, Director for Health Catalyst. She currently consults with health care systems across the country to use analytics for outcomes improvement work. She is also a member of the Big Data: Nursing Informatics Collaborative.

Mischa’s experience includes EMR development, nursing informatics application and education, data analytics, large system clinical program development and support, change management, and CMS Core Measures.
