About HIMSS Minnesota Chapter
HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) is a global advisor, thought leader and member-based society committed to reforming the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology. As a mission-driven nonprofit, HIMSS offers a unique depth and breadth of expertise in health innovation, public policy, workforce development, research and digital health transformation to advise leaders, stakeholders and influencers across the global health ecosystem on best practices. With a community-centric approach, our innovation engine delivers key insights, education and engaging events to healthcare providers, payers, governments, startups, life sciences and other health services organizations, ensuring they have the right information at the point of decision.
The Minnesota HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Chapter is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting a better understanding of health care information and management systems.
The MN Chapter is dedicated to providing high quality information and activities to our growing membership, currently comprised of over 1700 healthcare information professionals from across this state (and beyond).
While our focus is on topics of interest to our diverse membership, we also dedicate our efforts towards advocacy, RHIOs, professional development, and scholarship. Recently, the chapter achieved Presidential Advocate Status - the first chapter ever to do this! This is especially exciting since our advocacy program began just six months earlier.
Minnesota HIMSS Chapter also provides the opportunity and venue for local professionals to exchange information about current issues and to learn about topics that enable them to make better choices for both themselves and their organizations.
